  • PT MA
Proficiency Testing (PT) is the determination of the calibration or testing performance of a laboratory by means of inter-laboratory comparison (ILC). Inter-laboratory comparisons in which an artefact is distributed to laboratories and the results are compared to reference values - to determine the performance of individual lab in the comparison. Measurement audits (MA) in which an artefact is distributed to one laboratory and the results are compared to reference values (one-off).

Train the Trainer Course on the Verification of Non- Automatic Weighing Instruments

28 November to 01 December 2016, Hotel Istana, Kuala Lumpur

The Verification of Non-Automatic Weighing Instruments (NAWI) training course was funded by MEDEA. It is a four-year project managed by Physikalisch Technische Bundesanstalt (PTB) and funded by the German Federal Ministry for Economic Cooperation and Development (BMZ) which aims to foster and further develop the capabilities of the Asia Pacific Metrology Programme (APMP) and the Asia Pacific Legal Metrology Forum (APLMF) to support developing economies in the Asia-Pacific region. The project aims to improve the ability of the regional metrology specialist networks in Asia to promote metrology systems within developing economies and to strengthen the metrology systems and infrastructure of their respective members from developing economies. Participants are from Bangladesh, Cambodia, Bhutan, Nepal, Fiji, Mongolia, Malaysia, Papua New Guinea, Philippines, Sri Lanka, Thailand, Uzbekistan and Vietnam. The trainers are Mr Matthew Lux from NMI, Australia and Mrs Suliana Ghazalli from NMIM.
